Your Conservation Project Could Be Our Next Mission

At Flyway Brew Co., We Want to Hear Your Conservation Story

Somewhere right now, someone is restoring a wetland.

Someone is planting native grasses for quail and pheasants.

A landowner is improving nesting cover.

A group of volunteers is clearing invasive vegetation.

Someone is working to improve habitat for ducks, geese, wild turkeys, upland birds, or other wildlife—and they may be doing it without much recognition or financial support.

Flyway Brew Co. wants to hear from those people.

Conservation is one of the reasons our company exists. We believe selling great, freshly roasted coffee gives us an opportunity to do something bigger than simply sell another bag of coffee.

We want to help put resources back on the ground where they can make a difference.

And sometimes the best conservation projects aren't the biggest ones.

They're the ones being carried out by dedicated people who simply need a little help.

Are You Working on a Conservation Project?

Tell us about it.

Flyway Brew Co. is looking for individuals, landowners, conservation groups, nonprofit organizations, clubs, youth programs, researchers, and community organizations working to improve wildlife habitat.

We're especially interested in projects benefiting:

- Waterfowl and wetlands

- Ducks and geese

- Upland game birds

- Quail

- Pheasants

- Grouse

- Wild turkeys

- Native grasslands

- Marshes and wetlands

- Rivers, streams and riparian habitat

- Nesting and brood-rearing habitat

- Wildlife food and cover

- Habitat restoration

- Native vegetation

- Invasive-species removal

- Wildlife research and education

- Youth conservation projects

We're also interested in projects we haven't thought of yet.

If your work benefits wildlife, habitat, wetlands, clean water, or the future of the outdoors, we want to hear your story.

Why Habitat?

Wildlife conservation ultimately comes back to habitat.

Waterfowl need healthy wetlands, nesting areas, migration habitat and wintering grounds. Wetland conservation has been a cornerstone of North American waterfowl management for generations.

Upland birds depend on healthy grasslands, native vegetation, early-successional habitat and other diverse landscapes.

Wild turkeys require a combination of habitat types that can provide nesting cover, brood habitat, food, water and roosting areas.

And when we improve these landscapes for game species, the benefits frequently extend far beyond the animals hunters pursue.

Healthy habitat can support songbirds, pollinators, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and countless other species.

Restoring a marsh isn't simply helping ducks.

Restoring a grassland isn't simply helping quail.

Protecting a stream corridor isn't simply helping turkeys.

Good conservation creates an entire ecosystem of benefits.

We're Looking for Boots-on-the-Ground Conservation

There are incredible national conservation organizations doing tremendous work.

We support that work.

But we also know conservation happens on a much smaller scale.

It can be a landowner restoring a few acres.

A local Ducks Unlimited, NWTF, Quail Forever or Pheasants Forever chapter working on a habitat project.

A high-school conservation club.

A university research project.

A group of hunters improving public land.

A biologist trying something innovative.

A family restoring property that has been in their family for generations.

Or simply someone who saw a problem and decided to do something about it.

Those are stories we want to find.

What Kind of Projects Could Flyway Brew Co. Support?

Imagine a small wetland that needs restoration.

Native grasses that need to be planted.

A turkey habitat project that needs seedlings.

A water-control structure that needs materials.

A youth organization building wood duck boxes.

A local group restoring nesting habitat.

A project removing invasive plants and replacing them with beneficial native vegetation.

A conservation organization trying to purchase materials for a volunteer workday.

A researcher studying ways to improve wildlife survival or habitat management.

Those are exactly the kinds of opportunities we want people to bring to our attention.

Large or small, tell us what you're doing and why it matters.

Don't Assume Your Project Is Too Small

This is important.

You don't need to represent a massive national organization to contact us.

Sometimes a relatively small amount of support can help a dedicated group accomplish something tangible.

Maybe you need materials.

Maybe you need plants or seed.

Maybe you're trying to purchase habitat-management equipment.

Maybe you're raising money for a larger restoration project.

Maybe your organization already has volunteers but needs funding to put those volunteers to work.

Or perhaps you've already completed an incredible conservation project and simply want people to know the story.

Send it to us.

We want Flyway Brew Co. to become a place where conservation stories are shared—not just where coffee is sold.

Tell Us Your Conservation Story

When you contact us, tell us:

Who are you?

Tell us about yourself, your organization, club or group.

What are you trying to accomplish?

Explain the conservation problem and your proposed solution.

What species or habitat will benefit?

Ducks? Geese? Quail? Pheasants? Grouse? Turkeys? Wetlands? Native grasslands? Multiple species?

Where is the project?

Give us a general location and tell us why that area matters.

What would support from Flyway Brew Co. help accomplish?

Tell us exactly how assistance could make a difference.

Show us.

Pictures tell conservation stories incredibly well. If possible, share photographs of the property, habitat, volunteers, wildlife or work already underway.

And if you've already completed the project, send us the before-and-after pictures.

We'd love to see them.

Maybe Your Story Becomes Our Next Conservation Story

We also want to recognize the people doing this work.

If you have a great conservation story, we may be interested in sharing it with the Flyway Brew Co. community so other outdoorsmen and women can see what's happening around the country.

Your project might even inspire someone hundreds of miles away to start a conservation project of their own.

That's how conservation grows.

One person.

One property.

One organization.

One wetland.

One grassland.

One project at a time.

Coffee Can Do More

Every morning, millions of Americans start their day with a cup of coffee.

We think there's an opportunity hidden inside something that simple.

What if part of that everyday ritual could help put habitat back on the landscape?

What if buying freshly roasted coffee could also help someone restore a wetland, improve turkey habitat, plant native grasses, or protect another piece of the outdoors?

That's the idea behind Flyway Brew Co.

We're building a coffee company around two things we care deeply about:

Exceptional fresh coffee and conservation.

And we want our customers and conservation community involved in deciding where that impact happens.

Reach Out to Flyway Brew Co.

If you are working on a conservation project—or know someone who is—we want to hear from you.

Visit FlywayBrewCo.com and contact us with your story.

Tell us about the project.

Send photographs.

Tell us what you're trying to accomplish.

Tell us what wildlife will benefit.

And tell us how Flyway Brew Co. might be able to help.

We can't promise that every project submitted will receive financial support. But we can promise that we want to discover the people who are doing meaningful conservation work and hear their stories.

And even if you're not requesting support, send us your conservation success story.

Because good conservation deserves to be recognized, shared and repeated.

The Next Project Could Be Yours.

Protect the marsh. Restore the grasslands. Improve the woods. Give wildlife a place to thrive.

Drink great coffee. Do something good with it.
